SCA QLD The Mini Debate (Sunshine Coast)

SCA QLD The Mini Debate (Sunshine Coast)
The Mini Debate provides industry news and updates, showcasing the mini debate and exciting and innovative products and services to members across Queensland.

SCA (Qld) invites you to an afternoon of conversation and networking, where you will hear the latest on strata issues and advocacy, followed by an opportunity to watch two of our industries finest go head to head in our mini debate (debate topics differ for each event). It's sure to be fierce, fiery but ultimately a friendly forum.

From building defects to BUGTA, BCCMA proposals to changes coming to the Office of the Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management, SCA (Qld) has a huge amount of advocacy to update all members on. Whether it is policy ideas from our strata hackathon, discussion about recent appearances before Parliamentary Committees or recent media appearances, come along and make sure you don’t miss a beat about the changes we are bringing to the industry.

This Mini Debate will once again see SCA (Qld) Vice President, Chris Irons adjudicate another fierce debate between Jessica Cannon and Kristian Marlow (for the affirmative) as they go head to head with Frank Higginson & Michael Kleinschmidt (for the negative), taking a deep dive into whether or not body corporate managers must be licensed to protect consumers.

Who ultimately wins will be in Chris’ hands, but one thing is for certain: the gloves will be off and the winner will be strata! And of course, you!

So come along and make sure you don’t miss this new event.
