Join us for the first event of the year at the Annual Outlook Seminar! Addressing the popular topics for 2022, this session will prepare you for the WA border opening date, what to expect for the future direction of SCA, and the shift towards sustainability.


Please note that due to government mandates, the venue is restricted to only those who have been double vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination certificates will be checked prior to entry at Doubletree by Hilton Perth Waterfront. Refunds will not be provided to those who are refused entry from the venue.

Meet the Speakers

Chris Duggan, SCA National President
Strata Community Association’s newly elected National President Chris Duggan will provide an update on the future direction of SCA as an Australasian body and the organisation’s prioritised focus areas for 2022.

Keynote - Josh Byrne, Josh Byrne & Associates

In 2021, Australia’s green transition accelerated due to pressure from public demand. With people now moving from concern to action, it’s important for strata managers to have a greater understanding of sustainability principles and practices. Environmental Scientist, Josh Byrne, an expert in integrated sustainability and one of Australia’s leading sustainability communicators will share his knowledge on how an integrated approach to sustainability can improve building energy, water, and resource efficiency, as well as livability.

Linda Gladwell, Rio Tinto

With many countries experiencing a resurgence of COVID-19 cases, Strata Managers and communities now more than ever need to prepare to coexist with the pandemic. Linda Gladwell from Rio Tinto’s COVID-19 Response Team will share recommendations on how strata businesses can strategically plan for the introduction of the government-imposed vaccine mandate for employees and the new normal “living with COVID”.

Macquarie Bank
The last two years have been truly extraordinary and to understand its effect on businesses Macquarie Bank have conducted a 2021 Business Sentiment Survey. This survey collected information from business on how they have managed through this period and what their expectations are for the year ahead. Macquarie look forward to sharing their survey results with SCA (WA) members and the strata industry specific themes they uncovered.

Cancellations received prior to 28th January 2022 are fully refundable. Cancellations received after 28th January 2022 are not-refundable. Substitute delegates are welcome. Confirmed registrants who do not attend are liable for 100% of the registration fee.
