Uniting WA is a leading Western Australian community
services organisation with programs spanning the areas of homelessness,
community housing, mental health and disability support, children’s services,
financial wellbeing and supporting those affected by family and domestic
violence. With much of Uniting's work in Western Australia concentrated on
helping those in crisis, we have noted a worrying flow-on affect from
challenges in the private rental market into our crisis support services.
Demand at Uniting WA’s homelessness drop-in centre in Northbridge has nearly
doubled in the past two years and we have also noted a significant shift in the
demographics of people seeking support
Uniting’s Senior Manager of Advocacy Alisha Aitken-Radburn will provide SCA
