EV-lution of Electric Vehicles and Strata
Electric vehicle uptake and integration into strata complexes will bring many challenges in 2023. By understanding the latest developments in electric vehicle charging and what lays ahead, strata communities can be better prepared when making decisions on its infrastructure.
Ross. Head of Energy and Infrastructure from the EV Council of Australia will share his expertise and knowledge on the installation of EV charging infrastructure and what steps strata communities can take to be become EV ready.
The dynamic space of EV Fire Safety
Gavin Maund, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) will explain the dynamic space of Electric Vehicle (EV) fires and what safety factors that should be considered when accommodating EV infrastructure in strata schemes.
Gavin will share insights in the challenges emergency services experience when responding to an electric vehicle or charging station fire in a multistorey strata property and highlight hazards to assist strata communities re-evaluate their fire emergency action plans and insurance policies so they appropriately cover the risk.
Preparing for 2023 Economic Impacts
In this presentation Tim MacKenzie, National Head of Strata will provide information on Macquarie Bank’s economic and financial projections for 2023 and how interest rate increases can impact strata schemes. By understanding economic and financial forecasts strata managers can better prepare for the challenges strata schemes they manage may face in the year ahead.
SCA 2023 Update
Strata Community Association’s Chief Executive Officer, Alisha Fisher will provide an update on the future direction of SCA (WA) and SCA as an Australasian body with the organisation’s prioritised focus areas for 2023.
