REEF Property Employment Update Webinar

REEF Property Employment Update Webinar

Workplace relations can be complex and confusing, and as a property employer you’re constantly faced with changing laws. By attending this essential update, you can be sure you’re up to date with your extensive workplace obligations and what’s on the employment horizon.

This year property employers will be faced with a range of industrial changes as a result of the Labor Government’s introduction of the ‘Secure Jobs, Better Pay’ Bill, along with the Respect @ Work Bill that came into effect in late 2022.

In this session, industry experts Bryan Wilcox (REEF CEO) and Anna Egri (REEF General Manager) will explain the changes and bring you up to date with the main impacts they will have on your business.

Included in this session will be an overview of:

  • Paid family & domestic violence leave;
  • Prohibition on pay secrecy clauses;
  • Increased obligations around flexible work requests;
  • Extension of anti-discrimination laws and processes for sexual harassment claims;
  • Changes to how you can advertise for staff
  • Changes to Parental Leave; and
  • A range of other employment changes on near horizon that will impact your business.

Attendance at the session will help you understand and manage these legislative changes in a practical and compliant manner.

Our presenters:
Bryan Wilcox, REEF CEO
Bryan Wilcox is, first and foremost, a real estate professional. He is a licensed real estate agent having worked in the real estate industry for more than 30 years. Bryan was appointed as CEO of REEF in 2016 after having served on the organisation’s Committee of Management for 18 years – 16 of those years as President. Bryan owned a successful real estate agency for 17 years, prior to which he held senior management positions in various franchise as well as independent real estate organisations. His professional career has been firmly at the ‘coal-face’ of the real estate industry – leasing, managing, listing and selling property. Bryan understands only too well, the headaches associated with the employment and management of staff. Bryan’s extensive experience in both the administration and ownership of real estate businesses, and now as CEO of REEF, allows him the unique opportunity to both understand and respond to the complex employment issues confronting real estate employers on a day-to-day basis
Anna Egri, REEF General Manager
As one of industry’s most respected workplace and industrial relations experts, Anna Egri holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business and Commerce, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
